Year 7 student, Sienna Sergent from King’s Liverpool was selected to be filmed for BBC Newsround, appearing in a clip entitled “What’s it like going on a residential?” Sienna, who participated in the Year 7 residential trip to Brathay, Cumbria, took part in filming which was broadcast to the nation in January.
Sienna confidently described her experience of the trip, stating that it was a great opportunity to spend time with friends whilst trying out exciting new activities. She also shared her top tips for making the most of a residential, which included “Bring the right clothes”, “Push yourself,” and “Have fun.”
Sienna, a former pupil of Matthew Arnold primary school, loved her experience of being on camera, and may even be a future presenter in the making. She said: "I was really nervous about being filmed for Newsround but it was really exciting too - it has made me think about being a presenter in the future".
