Safeguarding & Wellbeing Support

Your safety and wellbeing are our top priorities. If you are struggling with anything at school or at home, we are here to help. Below you’ll find information on different types of support available.

If you are in immediate danger or need urgent help, speak to a trusted adult in school or contact Childline on 0800 1111.

 

Mental Health & Wellbeing

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. If you are feeling anxious, stressed, or low, help is available.

Support in School:

  • Speak to our Pastoral Team for advice
  • Access our School Counsellor (book an appointment)
  • Visit the Wellbeing Hub during break/lunch

External Support:

  • Kooth – Free, anonymous online mental health support (www.kooth.com)
  • YoungMinds – Text ‘YM’ to 85258 for crisis support
  • NHS Mental Health Services – Call 111 for urgent help

Young Carers

If you help look after a family member due to illness, disability, or addiction, you are a Young Carer. You are entitled to extra support.

What we offer:

  • A dedicated Young Carers Support Lead in school
  • Flexible deadlines and homework support
  • Access to local Young Carers groups

External Support:

Additction & Substance Misuse

If you or someone you know is struggling with drugs, alcohol, or gaming addiction, support is available.

In-School Support:

 

  • Confidential chats with our Pastoral Team
  • Referrals to local support services

External Help:

 

Online Safety & Cyberbullying

The internet should be a safe place, but if you feel threatened, bullied, or unsafe online, talk to someone.

School Support:

 

  • Report issues to your Head of Year or IT Team
  • Attend our Online Safety Workshops

LGBTQ+ Support

Everyone deserves to feel safe and accepted. If you need support around gender identity or sexuality, you are not alone.

If you are experiencing family difficulties, domestic violence, or homelessness, please speak to a trusted adult in school.
